Disziplinen

Bei dieser Disziplin wird die Sägekette der Motorsäge abgenommen, die Schiene gewendet und die Kette ausgewechselt. Dabei muss die Schneidgarnitur so montiert werden, dass die Säge mit richtiger Kettenspannung wieder so einsatzbereit ist, dass die beiden nachfolgenden Disziplinen ohne Nachmontage ausgeführt werden können.

In this discipline, the cutting set of the chainsaw is removed, the bar is turned and the chain is replaced. The cutting set must be mounted in such a way that the saw is ready for use again with the correct chain tension, so that the two following disciplines can be carried out without reassembly.

Von zwei Stämmen wird je eine 3 bis 8 cm dicke Holzscheibe abgeschnitten. Die Schwierigkeit dabei ist, dass von unten und oben nur bis zur Hälfte des Stammes geschnitten werden darf. Beide Schnitte sollen sich ohne Versatz treffen und rechtwinklig zur Stammachse durchgeführt werden.

A 3 to 8 cm thick slice of wood is cut from two trunks each. The difficulty here is that you can only cut up to half of the trunk from the top and bottom. Both cuts should meet without offset and be made at right angles to the trunk axis.

Die TeilnehmerInnen müssen auf zylindrischen Stämmen 30 runde Äste absägen. Diese Aufgabe gilt es so stammeben und rasch wie möglich zu erledigen.

The competitors must saw off 30 round branches on cylindrical trunks. This task must be completed as quickly and with as many stems as possible.

Innerhalb von 3 min soll ein Baum (Mast) so nahe wie möglich an ein vorgegebenen Ziel gefällt werden.

A tree (pole) is to be felled as close as possible to a specified target within 3 min.

Von zwei liegenden Stämmen wird eine 3 bis 8 cm dicke Holzscheibe abgeschnitten – diesmal aber nur von oben. Allerdings sind die Stämme bei dieser Disziplin am Boden befestigt. Die Scheibe soll möglichst vollständig abgeschnitten werden, ohne jedoch das Brett anzuritzen. Eine Sägemehlschicht versperrt den TeilnehmerInnen die Sicht auf die Kontaktzone.

A 3 to 8 cm thick slice of wood is cut from two lying logs - but this time only from the top. However, in this discipline the logs are fixed to the ground. The slice should be cut off as completely as possible without scoring the board. A layer of sawdust blocks the competitors’ view of the contact zone.

Beim Teamwettkampf der Forstwettkämpfe geht es darum, in möglichst kurzer Zeit an speziell aufgestellten liegenden und stehenden Stämmen mehrere Holzscheiben abzutrennen. Die Länderstafette wird als zusätzliche sechste Disziplin ausgeführt und zählt nicht zum Mannschaftswettkampf der übrigen fünf Disziplinen.

The competitors must cut off, as quickly as possible, one disc from the specially prepared stem. The discipline is carried out as a relay. Each contestant announced must complete at least one round. The relay race discipline is scored as team class and it is not calculated for ranking for the remaining five disciplines.
